[We Need Your Help] Together: A Letter Writing Journal for People in Love
It all started with a phone conversation with a good friend in late January. The idea was simple. He was looking for a way to help newlyweds connect in a meaningful way. After a 20 minute conversation, and a few days up in the beautiful mountains of Colorado, Together: A Letter Writing Journal for People in Love was born.
The Together journal has one mission...to help you connect with the person you love most through written words of affirmation + adoration. Let's face it, in today's world, writing a letter, especially a love letter, is kind of a lost art form. We have text messages + e-mail + snapchat (and other techy ways)...all great ways to communicate, but they all lose the magic of the hand written word.
Letter writing forces you to slow down and really put a lot of thought into each and every sentence. There's excitement in the anticipation of the receiver reading the letter, as well as joy in the giving of a letter. I personally write Jenny letters all the time. I leave them in random places for her to find. Maybe she's had a rough day and I want to give her a tangible sign of the love I have for her...a love letter fits that bill. It's something she can hold in her hands and re-read any time she wants to.
How you use Together is simple. You write a letter to the one you love most, then hand it over (or mail it if you're long distance) and wait for a response. I've added a few things to help you get started...
- Elements of a great love letter
- Sentence starters + writing prompts (if you need them)
- Places to doodle (because drawing is just as magical as writing a letter)
The Together journal is filled with 48 pages of all kinds of hand drawn elements, from the lettering down to lines you'll be writing on. It's printed on 100% recycled 70 lb paper and measures 5 x 7 inches. The cover is 18 pt chipboard and looks beautiful! A huge thanks goes out to Scoutbooks for being such a rad supplier :)
This is where you come in. We've launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise the funds needed to make the Together journal a reality. I'd be so grateful if you headed over to pick one up for yourself or a few to give away to friends. I offer my heart felt thanks if you'd share it as well.
Together, we can add more love into this world. And when we have an opportunity to add more love and create more memorable experiences, it feels right to say yes. Thanks for any and all support you can give as Jenny + I continue to pursue meaningful work.
